A Complete & Simple Guide on How to Choose a Wedding Photographer
You got engaged!! Yaaaay! Congratulations!
Now, you might still have a ton of planning to do, but hiring your wedding photographer is one of the most important steps you need to take.
Why is it important to hire your wedding photographer?
You’ve been planning your wedding day for at least 6 months. The venue, your wedding dress, your wedding shoes, color pallet, flowers, and the list goes on and on…
Having a wedding photographer who is experienced, and who will not only capture random photos but who will guide you to create beautiful memories that tell your love story is your ultimate goal. (Your uncle Bob or your best friend Amanda may have a camera but not what it takes to capture the photos you’re looking for)
How do you know if you found the right photographer for your wedding day?
To help you figure out how to find the right wedding photographer for your wedding day, I created a complete & simple Guide on How to Choose a Wedding Photographer that you can download for free by clicking here.
And It is also important to highlight the three main points when choosing a wedding photographer:
I can’t stress enough about this one. I know you might be trying to work with a specific budget but after several months of planning, countless hours of dreaming about your big day, your wedding photos & videos will be the only tangible memories you will have to look back into. Having a wedding photographer who understands your vision and has the style of photography you are looking for is a MUST.
People often ask me how I would describe my style. From shooting to the final product. So let me put it in the simplest way possible. I think of myself as your best friend professional photographer documenting a movie about you. In our first conversation, I’m going to listen to your vision, about what is most important to you and how you would like to make it happen. It’s all about YOU.
My main goal is NOT to take Pinterest or cheese pictures that everyone likes but to capture feelings of intimate love, pure joy, peace, and deep emotion to translate real-life moments and to get everyone that sees your photos (even you!) to feel like they witnessed it all in person. I want everyone to experience the feeling that you had in those moments. Fun, real, memorable.
When looking through a wedding photographer website, don’t get so caught up in those beautifully captured daylight photos. If any part of your wedding day is going to be indoors (getting ready, wedding ceremony, wedding reception…) or in low-light for any reason, it’s very important to hire, know, and feel confident that your wedding photographer can photograph in those darker conditions.
Besides the use of flash, I also use a softbox, strip lights, on-camera lights, light bars, umbrellas, circle ring, and portable lights to create the best light possible and capture your wedding day beautifully. So you don’t have to worry about anything. Here are some examples of my work during low-light:
Now, remember, your experience with your photographer is so much more than the gallery you receive. I guarantee you will get a gorgeous wedding album. But more than that, your experience with me will blow you out of the water. On top of a super fun time, you can expect detailed professionalism, timely deliveries, and exceeded expectations. This experience is all about you. I take my job very seriously, and I can’t wait for your wedding day!
