Travis Barker proposed to Kourtney Kardashian in a beautiful sunset set on October 17th, 2021. And when Chelsea and Henry saw that beautiful setup, they knew what to do to surprise and propose to Simone. Ok. Let me explain it better.
Beginning of October, Chelsea contacted me asking about photography and videography for a proposal. She is one of Henry and Simone’s best friends, and she was helping Henry put a surprise proposal together.
Initially, she wanted to hire us to cover the proposal inside Simone’s favorite restaurant.
However, knowing that some businesses don’t allow to take professional photos and videos within their location, I called them, and I got told we wouldn’t be able to do so because of the restaurant’s policies.
So, I talked to Chelsea, and she told me she was going to think about something else.
The surprise proposal was scheduled for October 21st, and it was just after seeing Travis Barker & Kourtney Kardashian’s sunset proposal that Chelsea decided to help Henry re-create a similar setup, so he could propose to Simone in one of the most epics California sunsets.
When Chelsea told me their entire vision, I was stocked. She said that she told Simone they were going to do a fun photography session at the beach, so Simone would have no clue about the real reason why she was dressing up to go to the beach. Then, when they arrive at the beach, Simone would see Henry and the flowers, and the proposal would happen.
I was so excited to see how everything would unfold, but long story short, I almost MISSED the whole thing! OH YEAH!! Keep reading my friend, this story doesn’t end here.
Richie and I were on our way to the location. He was going to do the videography for the proposal, and I was going to do the photography. Usually, we always leave super early for any event we need to cover, so we can have extra time if we need to get extra light, memory card, set up our equipment…
When we got to the address Chelsea sent us, I called Henry, because that location was so weird and I didn’t see any beach nearby or flowers set up. Henry sent me his location, and we were 30minutes away from where we were supposed to be. I think Chelsea was really excited when she sent me the address because that was on the opposite side.
Oh well, we needed to rush. So, we did. That extra time we always give ourselves was our life savior. For real.
We got to the location only 5 minutes before Simone showed up, and that was just the right time to get our equipment set up and witness a stunning Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian-inspired proposal.
Henry and Chelsea planned the proposal within 2 days. They ordered the flowers from Simply Classic Floral in San Diego, CA, and 500 roses were used for the whole setup. This is what I call a commitment. The scenario was dreamy, romantic, and with the perfect sunset as you can tell by these beautiful photos taken by me, and the stunning video created by my handsome husband Richie!
I am so grateful for all the couples, families, and friends who trust us to capture their once-in-a-lifetime moment! You gotta have the right team, aka us, to capture these moments, cause they ain’t happening again.
